Is the sound recorded?

Which reference should I use?

Most music is tuned to A4 = 440 Hz. Change it only if the recording or the band you play with uses another reference.

The note jumps or does not show. Why?

Play one note at a time, close to the microphone, and let it ring. Chords, loud background noise and very quiet notes cannot be read.
